Letting Go…

For a long time, I believed letting go meant giving up. It felt like admitting defeat. Looking back now, I realize it takes far more strength to let go than to hold on to something that is no longer healthy. Much like painting, there are moments when a brushstroke simply doesn't belong. I can continue trying to fix it over and over, or I can gently blend it into the landscape and keep moving forward. My recent life has taught me that some chapters are meant to end so that others can begin. That doesn't erase the memories or the lessons. It simply makes room for new ones.

Painting has become the place where I sort through those emotions. A blank canvas doesn't ask where I've been or what mistakes I've made. It simply invites me to begin again. Every mountain, tree, and quiet lake reminds me that nature is always renewing itself. Seasons change without apology. Perhaps we should allow ourselves the same grace.

I don't know exactly what lies ahead, but I no longer need every answer before taking the next step. Sometimes letting go isn't losing something at all. Sometimes it's finally making room for peace.
